1st Year: 5 "Couldn't Live Without" Baby Products... Twin edition

OK! So our first year with the kids is almost done.  Crazy, right?  It's almost like it was yesterday when they were first born.  Either way, these are the 10 products that if I didn't have then I would not have made it through.  Please

1. Gerber Babynes - $200 (pods are expensive, but worth it)
OMG! this is probably the best product ever made.  and then I have to multiply that by two because I have twins.  The best way to describe the Gerber Babyness is like a Keurig for baby formula. And when I say Keurig, I mean Keurig.  Think about when you brew a cup of Joe [in under 2 minutes], how as soon as it is done,  you blow and sip.  You don't shake; you don't clean up.  You just enjoy whatever deliciousness is on that little expensive ass pod.  Now transfer that to Baby and that is the Babynes.

bugaboo donkey duo

2. Bugaboo Donkey Duo - $2,100
Cadillac for babies?  Why yes; yes it is! The reason we purchased the Donkey was a bunch of reasons:

  • It was a side by side tandem stroller - we didn't want a front to back or top and bottom tandem.  Oh, and did I mention it was the only tandem that could convert to a single stroller?
  • It was hella customizable.  We have changed the sun canopies, added a cup holder and cell phone holder.  We have switched the babies from the bassinet to the seat and turn them from back facing to front facing.  And we have added cupholder/trays for the kids.  All without breaking a sweat.

Tell me one other stroller that can do this and I will go and buy it.

3. Boon Squirt Silicone Baby Food Dispensing Spoon - $8
Yes, babies start eating food in the first year.  No, they are not the most efficient eaters.  Yes, is almost intolerable how hard it can get to feel babies.  Especially picky eaters you take after their picky eating dad.  These spoons decrease all of that stress by at least 80%.  Think about a toothpaste tube with food in it and a spoon at the end.  Yes, it is it is heaven sent.

spoosie booster pads

4. Spoosie Booster Pads - $28
So my kids pee a lot. Alway been that way. However, after we sleep they started waking back up during the night because they were soaked and the bed was soaked from pee. Yuck! we tried a few night time diapers but none of them worked.  Not all for the 12 hours they were asleep.  So, I found these pads that fit into the diaper and five it about 8 more ounces of absorbency. Dope!  We pop two in every night and we don't hear a peep (at least not from a wet diaper).

Bandana Bibs

5. Baby Bandana Drool Bibs - $23
Ok ok ok.  These are definitely corny when you first think of it. However, these bibs have saved us from having to constantly change the kids.  For a reason, unknown to me, these bibs are waterproof but not made of plastic; they are all fabric.  This allows us to not feel like they are eating at a seafood restaurant every time we put one on and it protects everything they wear and feel soft to the touch,
